Case Study #3: Esquire Ad Campaign
ROLE:
-
Adaptation of brand identity system & visual language, creation of brand standards & style guide, creative direction, art direction, campaign imagery, photo shoot production
OBJECTIVE:
-
Adapt Esquire magazine’s logo and identity into a branding system across 8 licensed apparel collections.
-
Create a cohesive visual language that worked across all licensed categories.
SOLUTION:
-
Created a city environment for formal categories (suits, dress shirts, ties, dress shoes) and a rural setting for casual (sweaters, outerwear, denim), capturing both the town and country aspects of the Esquire man.
-
City featured younger models and country more mature ones, covering Esquire's broad age demographic and target audience.
-
Adapted use of Esquire logo in ad campaign to mimic magazine cover usage.
